Open XMZX File

XMZX is an extension used by ExamSoft which is an online assessment management program.

When you download an exam from ExamSoft, a file with an .XMZX extension is created carrying exam content. This file can then be opened with SofTest, an ExamSoft application for Windows and OS X. Upon examination, the .XMZX file is automatically removed and replaced with the "working" file XMWX. When you complete the exam, the .XMWX file is replaced with the .XMDX file, which contains the final answers. This file is placed to the "Answers" folder in the SofTest installation directory on your computer. You can then upload the XMDX file to the ExamSoft cloud.

ExamSoft allows you to control the entire testing process. It includes the creation, delivery, grading, administration and analysis of exams. It is commonly used in the fields of study K-12, undergraduate college, in the field of health, in the teaching of law and dentistry.

It is important to note that XMZX files are cataloged as binary data files and should only be opened with the application that created them for which they are designed. Therefore, trying to open them as plain text files is not recommended, as you run the risk of damaging them.
