Open XMZ File

XMZ files are used in the FastTracker 2 Extended Module software and are considered audio files. These files contain audio samples and note patterns that are used to change and play them at different pitches; Supports multiple tracks and effects. Basically the XMZ format is an extension of the common XM tracking format.

Software to open XMZ files

• Starbreeze Studios Fasttracker: Developed by Starbreeze Studios, and written in Borland Pascal 7 and Assembler Language. The program worked under MSDOS and today it is discontinued.
• OpenMPT: It is an open source audio tracker also for the Windows platform.
• MODPlug Player: The MODPlug Player is a compact player for Windows-based PC and uses MODPlug Tracker and other Tracking programs.
• Winamp: is a multimedia player for Microsoft Windows using few resources with a simple interface to use. With Tracking Functions, Winamp is a very popular multimedia application in the late 90's and 00's. At the time of writing, only a beta (5.8) version of Winamp is available
