Open XDF File
XDF extension files have two main registered uses, namely:
Autodesk
The XDF file extension is used, in this case, for the externally defined functions of Autodesk, Inc. which is basically an utility to migrate custom parameters, from a previous version.
The XDF file has the predefined Autodesk functions to run the custom parameter migration process, for example:
- Hatch patterns
- Line types
- Shapes
- Materials
TunerPro
The Extended Disk Format or XDF files, in this application are a definition file for TunerPro, a free automobile tuning software (chiptuning).
The definitions preset by the programmer are saved in the XDF file, and then downloaded into the memory to be updated, inside the vehicle's ECU, using the TunerPro software.
To open, edit and operate on an XDF file, it is necessary to be sure of the type of file, and then have one of the following programs installed on our system:
