Open RTM File
RTM extension files can take various applications, some of which are described below:
LabVIEW
In this first case, the RTM file is a file created by LabVIEW, a scientific measurement program used to interface with hardware devices.
LabVIEW is essentially a graphical programming environment that engineers use to develop systems and automated research, validation, and production tests, developed by National Instruments.
LabVIEW provides a powerful graphical development environment for the design of data acquisition engineering, measurement analysis, and data presentation applications thanks to a programming language without the complexity of other development tools.
The RTM file contains a menu that includes application items and custom user items.
In any case, the RTM file is used to display the functions and operations of the virtual instrument which are saved in a VI extension format.
RTM files must be referenced by a virtual instrument for the runtime menu to work correctly.
Custom menus in RTM only appear while the VI is running.
RTM files can be created using LabVIEW by selecting:
'Edit ? Run-Time Menu'
Inside the Menu Editor.
Real Tracker Module
In this second case, the RTM file is an audio module containing tracks, patterns, and instruments that can be played by the DOS-based audio tracking program Real Tracker.
Real Tracker has been in development since 1995.
The original version was developed until 1997, however, custom multi-window GUIs have been created, which supports resolutions up to 1280x1024 in the registered version.
Real Tracker should not be confused with the current Real Tracker, which is an application available for Android and iOS for GPS tracking.
RTM is actually an acronym for Real Tracker Module.
The RTM file should not be opened with a software package other than Real Tracker.
