Open PPD File

PPD is a file created by the manufacturers of various printers to describe the features available for their PostScript printers.

A PPD contains the PostScript code necessary to use the features of a printer. In this way it works as a device driver for PostScript printers, providing a unified interface.

The PPD file describes the font, paper sizes, DPI, memory settings, and other features and capabilities supported by the printer.

PPD files are also enabled to contain PostScript code, useful during a print job.
