Open PFB File
The PFB extension is used as an Adobe Type 1 font for Windows.
Basically a Type 1 font file is a PostScript file which are font files encoded in outline font specifications developed by Adobe Systems for professional digital typesetting.
In other words, a PFB file uses PostScript file format to encode font information.
A PFB is similar to a PFA file, but encoded in a binary format.
Therefore a PFB requires the associated PFM file.
So both the PFB and PFM file must be stored in the system fonts folder to be active.
In addition to storing system fonts, PFB files are also used by AutoCAD to create compiled SHX font files.
The PFB file stands for Printer Font Binary Format.
