Open M2TS File
Files that have the M2TS format are based on the MPEG-2 Transport Stream container, which is used to store video data on Blu-ray discs using the Blu-ray Disc Audio-Video (BDAV) MPEG-2 container format. Transport Stream.
The names of the M2TS files are made up as follows: '#####.m2ts', where '#####' represents a 5-digit number corresponding to the audiovisual clip.
This number is also used in the name of an associated file containing the clip information, called '#####.clpi'.
M2TS files on a Blu-ray Disc are placed in the 'STREAM' subdirectory of the 'BDMV' directory, which is located at the root of the Blu-ray Disc.
M2TS files, is, in other words, a multimedia container and includes digital data compressed using one of several available codecs for video such as H.262, H.264, VC-1 and for audio Dolby AC3, PCM, etc.
An M2TS file can contain multiple streams of selectable videos, audio and subtitles on playback.
M2TS format files support 720p and 1080i frames.
