Open INK File
INK files allow various uses with different formats, namely:
MimioStudio
The INK file extension is mainly used for Mimio Ink Data Format files.
Mimio Ink is a format belonging to the MimioStudio software, which allows educators to create interactive whiteboard lessons, collaborative activities, and conduct formative assessments in real time.
The INK file records notes, diagrams, graphs, and illustrations drawn on the whiteboard in digital ink recording mode, in turn, saves the data in an object-based vector format.
INK extension files support full editing, including scaling and rotating objects and changing the color or thickness of lines in shapes.
INK files also allow you to copy and paste selected data into other applications.
InkML
In this application, an INK file is a digital pen drawing saved using the Inke Markup Language (InkML), an XML file format used to save digitally drawn pictures and notes.
The INK file contains a vector graphic stored as one or more sequences of connected points.
INK files are used to store pen strokes and redraw them using tracing functions.
It is important to consider that these INK files have the ability to be resized without losing the quality of the curves of the original strokes, since the plotting functions interpolate between the points.
Pantone
In this application, an INK file contains color information related to a specific image file.
The INK file is saved in a standard format defined by Pantone, Inc, and must be stored in the same directory as the image file to which it is related.
Pocket PC
For Pocket PC, the INK file is a textual note or drawing created using a digital pen, and at the same time, saved in a proprietary vector image format, which allows the drawing to be scaled without losing quality.
