Open GIFV File

A GIFV file is a video file backed up in a format developed by Imgur that makes improvements to the GIF format. It uses the H.264 video compression protocol and this in turn is stored within an .MP4 container.

It is well known that GIF is a popular format for exchanging short animation files on the web and other means of exchanging information, both Twitter, Facebook and other social networks. One of the most notable characteristics of GIFV files is they are digitally smaller than conventional GIF files, therefore it means a faster load. Another significant fact is that the Imgur site converts uploaded GIF files to GIFV format.
