Open GCODE File
A GCODE format and extension file comes from the G-Code programming language, a language used to describe how a 3D printer should print a job.
The GCODE file contains specific commands that the 3D printer should execute, in the form of plain text instructions, and each line represents a different command, such as the speed at which the printer should print, the temperature it should be set to, and where it should go. move the printing pieces.
It should be noted that the GCODE file is a plain text file containing programming code.
The G-Code language is used in specific cutting software, such as Simplify3D and Slic3r, which translate CAD drawings into G-Code, which a 3D printer can read, and therefore the GCODE file is generated.
Because 3D printing requires a large number of instructions for exact printing, the GCODE file must be very specific, this involves separating a job into many layers.
Software to open a GCODE file
GCODE files can be opened by various 3D printing programs, such as Simplify3D, GCode Viewer. GCODE files are only intended to be used by 3D printers but can be opened with a text editor since they are saved in plain text.
