Open FCPXDEST File

FCPXDEST format files are created and used by Final Cut Pro X (FCPX), a professional OS X video editor, and contain information that describes how and where the video will be shared.

Final Cut Pro X is a non-linear video editing software developed by Macromedia Inc. and later Apple Inc.

Final Cut Pro X lets you share your video to a variety of destinations, including DVD, Apple devices, Facebook, YouTube, and Vimeo.

Obviously, given the nature of each type of destination, these have different settings, such as video codec, format, resolution, compression, and who can see it.

In this case, the FCPXDEST file is used to store these settings.

To export a destination shared with another FCPX user, drag the destination from the list under "Destinations" on the panel to a location in Finder. A file with the extension FCPXDEST will appear. To import a shared destination, drag the FCPXDEST file to the list of destinations in the 'Destinations' panel.
