Open 1XLS File

Files with the 1XLS extension are nothing more than a renamed XLS file, but preserving the format of a common spreadsheet.

The 1XLS extension corresponds to that of the Excel files in their versions from 97 to 2003, being, then, the XLSX files those of the most modern versions of Excel.

The normal thing is to use the Microsoft application to open them, but being a paid tool, you may want other alternatives.

What is a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet is a type of document that allows you to manipulate numeric and alphanumeric data arranged in the form of tables made up of cells, which are usually organized in a matrix of rows and columns.

The cell is the basic unit of information in the spreadsheet, where you enter the values and formulas that perform the calculations.

A spreadsheet cell is visually the place where you can enter data or perform calculations.

They are generally rectangular in shape and are formed at the intersection of a row and a column, they are identified by a name, such as A4.

A is the column name and 4 is the row number.

Usually it is possible to carry out complex calculations with formulas and/or functions and to draw different types of graphs.

Spreadsheets allow operations on matrices of 2 or more dimensions, arranged and organized appropriately to facilitate such calculations.

The 1XLS file is a renamed XLS file, and in order to open and use it with a spreadsheet software, it must be registered with said software previously, either through its own secondary menu (right click) or by searching for it through the context from the software menu provided for this purpose.
